#HOW TO USE MULTISWIPE WINDOWS 10#
I have resumed from Standby several times and Windows 10 3 Finger gestures still work for me :-) Therefore, I have changed the security settings for this registry node (only the 3FingerGestures folder) to have read-only access for SYSTEM, my account and Administrators.
#HOW TO USE MULTISWIPE DRIVER#
Don't touch the other action IDs - they should already be the same as in the HKLM-Windows 10 defaults.Īfter my first try the driver again reverted the user values back to Windows 8 after standby. Make sure that you use decimal vs hexadecimal correctly (the values I wrote down above are decimal!). To change 3 Finger gestures back to Windows 10 you need to change the 4 registry values for the ActionIDs 1, 3, 5 and 7 to the Windows 10 values. It seems that a certain point of time (after resume from standby) the driver copies the values from the Windows 8 defaults to the user specific registry tree and is using these values from now on. You will see that the 4 mentioned action IDs refer to the default values for Windows 8, not Windows 10. HKCU\Software\Synaptics\SynTP\TouchPadPS2TM2132\3FingerGestures Note down the Win10 decimal values (ActionID 1 = 92, 3 = 95, 5 = 93 and 4 = 94) - you will need them later. These values are different compared to the Windows 8 values. In HKLM\Software\Synaptics\SynTP\Win10 (note the difference in path!) you can find another folder 3FingerGestures with the corresponding action ID values for the Windows 10 gestures. The values behind refer to the old Windows 8 gestures. Important are the 4 action IDs (1,3,5,7). The folder 3FingerGestures includes the settings for the 3-Finger gestures. In HKLM\Software\Synaptics\SynTP\Defaults you find the default values for all gestures and actions. The problem is related to the registry settings. I guess it will also do with the older 19.0.x.x driver versions. However, the driver still has the described problem but my solution works (at least with the 19.0.16.0 version). According to this site the source of the driver is Lenovo but I don't know for which Laptop model they have published the driver. I have used the Synaptics driver 19.0.16.0 - downloaded from. It took me some time but I think I found the problem and a possible solution / work-around.

I have an Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and after a fresh install of Windows 10 I had the same problems as described here (3 Finger Gestures no longer working after resume from Standby).
